Sambar recept
Tamil nadu Sambar
- Vegetable of ur own choice ( Brinjal, drumstick,radish, lady finger etc)
- Sambar onion 5-6 small
- Garlic pods 4-5
- Tamarind one lime sieze ball soaked in water
- Cooked toor dhal
- Hing powder
- 3 hands coriander seed
- 5-6 red dried chilis
- Black pepper 1/2 tbsp
- Jeera 1/2 tbsp
- Chana dhal 1 tbsp
- Urad dhal 1 tbsp
- Rice 1 tsp
- 1 tsp meethi seeds
- Optional is one small piece coconut

Curry leaf
One dried red chili
Method:
Cook toor dhal with salt and turmeric powder. Cook vegetable in pieces with little water. Salt and turmeric. In a hot dry pan roast all ingredients for the spice paste When They are hot and nice smell accours then Remove from pan and run in mixi
to a very fine powder, add little water and mix again to a paste. When vegetables is half cooked add spice paste and tamarindwater. Cook til raw taste of tamarind is gone, add cooked dhal and salt to taste also add 3-4 puff of hing powder. In another
small pan heat little oil. Add mustard seeds and red chili, When They splutter add curry leaves and Pour everything over Sambar. DONE!
